When chatting with FlipsideAI, you can reference specific datasets and workflows by typing @ followed by your search terms. This powerful feature helps you access and work Flipsides data more efficiently. Mentions Feature

How to use mentions

1

Start typing @

Type the @ symbol in your message to trigger the mention menu. You’ll see a dropdown with available options.
2

Search and filter

Type your search terms after @ to find relevant datasets or workflows - Use the tabs at the top to filter between: - All - Shows both datasets and workflows - Datasets - Flipside’s data tables and data sources - Workflows - Pre-built analysis workflows
3

Browse and select

Each mention shows: - Name and description of the dataset or workflow - Tags indicating categories (DeFi, Analytics, Trading, etc.) - Key features and example use cases - Blockchain logos for relevant networks
4

Navigate with keyboard

  • Use arrow keys to navigate through options
  • Tab to switch between categories
  • Enter to select an item

What you can reference

Datasets

Reference specific data tables:
  • Historical blockchain data
  • Token prices and market data
  • DeFi protocol metrics
  • NFT collections and trading data
  • Cross-chain analytics
  • Governance and voting data
Mentioning a dataset tells FlipsideAI exactly which data source to use, reducing ambiguity and improving query accuracy.

Workflows

Access pre-built analysis workflows:
  • Market monitoring and alerts
  • Volume-weighted analysis
  • Performance tracking
  • Price change analysis
  • Custom analytics workflows
Workflows are specialized agents trained on specific analytical methodologies. See Workflows for more details.

Example usage

Try mentioning these in your conversations:
@ethereum
@solana
@arbitrum

Tips for better results

Instead of generic terms, use specific blockchain names, protocol names, or data categories to quickly find what you need.Examples:
  • @ethereum defi - Find Ethereum DeFi datasets
  • @solana nft - Find Solana NFT data
  • @price oracle - Find price-related datasets
Datasets may be tagged with multiple keywords. If your first search doesn’t return results, try: - Synonyms (e.g., “exchange” vs “dex”) - Broader terms (e.g., “defi” instead of “uniswap”) - Specific protocol names (e.g., “aave” or “compound”)
Each dataset displays tags showing:
  • Supported blockchains
  • Data categories (DeFi, NFT, Governance, etc.)
  • Analysis types (Trading, Analytics, Monitoring, etc.)
These tags help you quickly validate whether a dataset contains the data you need.

Combining mentions with questions

Mentions work best when combined with specific questions:

With datasets

“Using @ethereum dex swaps, show me the top 10 trading pairs by volume this week”

With workflows

“Run @volume weighted analysis on WETH/USDC for the past 30 days”

Multiple mentions

“Compare @ethereum nft sales with @solana nft sales over the last quarter”

Specific queries

“From @arbitrum transactions, find wallets that bridged more than $100K this month”
